Please! Let us not be naive. The only people who will affect the Haiti remain us the Haitian people. If we can stop fighting with each other, if we stop (or at the very least minimize) the violence, if we can understand it's OK for Haitians in the dispora and foreign business people to invest in Haiti, Haiti can be a nice place to visit and a wonderful vacation place.
Haiti still remains the ONLY country in the Caribbean without tourism. No US President can help with that, but we can. Believe it or not, as much as some of us hate President Bush, he gives more money to Haiti than any other US Presidents.
Therefore, let's not believe that any US President will be the solution to our problems. Whoever it is that becomes President will continue to send foreign aid to Haiti. But that is not all we need folks. We are the answers to our PROBLEMS. Let us find a way to apply these answers and not put our hopes in any foreign President or US President. Democrat or Republican.
