"You can put lipstick on a pig, It's still a pig. You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."
This "lipstick on a pig" quote is that of Senator Barack Obama poking fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.
or is it?
Watch this video and you will that many candidates including Senator john McCain has used the "lipstick on the pig" idiom in their political campaign
as you can see, unless the video has been removed from Youtube
Sarah Palin said: "They say the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull, lipstick"
Barack Omaba said later: "You can put lipstick on a pig, It's still a pig"
some say she is refering to Sarah Palin as a pig but wait a minute...
John McCain said: "I think you can put some lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig."
Some say McCain is reffering to Hillary Clinton's healthcare policies.
this is not the first campaign where this "lipstick on a pig" has been used
In 2004 John Kerry said it to, but diffently: "You can put all the lipstick you want on a pig but at he end of the day, it's still a pig."
