Obama's sppech was everything I hoped it would be and more. The whole week has been absolutely mindblowing with each speaker after the next just moving the crowd. I have not felt this optimistic in a long long time. Obama's speech just brought me back to the notions and sentiments I felt during Clinton inauguration, when Maya Angelou stepped up and recited A Pulse of the Morning. It made me hopeful again, it made me proud again, because not only did we bear witness to an great individual, we were also allowed to see the greatness in ourselves. Obama's campaign is a prime example of what we the people are capable of, whether it be on the campaign trail with him, or in the military, or in our community. But in order for this country to be great once again, we cannot treat this convention as a 4-day love-in; now is the time for us to get to work! YES WE CAN!
